Flo Morrissey is an English singer-songwriter from London. Born in 1994 and raised in Notting Hill, she also uses the name Florence Clementine.

Career

She releases music as a solo artist and has toured internationally. Her debut single, “Pages of Gold,” appears in 2014, followed by her first album, Tomorrow Will Be Beautiful, in 2015. That album is written and recorded in California and produced by Noah Georgeson and Philippe Zdar.

Collaborations

In 2017 she records an album of covers with American musician Matthew E. White under the name Flo Morrissey and Matthew E. White. She also works as part of The Clementines with her husband Benjamin Clementine; their first release is the single “Calm Down” in 2020.

Background and influences

Morrissey’s father’s car introduces her to the music of Joanna Newsom, CocoRosie and Devendra Banhart when she is a child. Her work is associated with folk and indie music, and she is also described as a singer-songwriter.
