Flipside

Flipside is a jazz fusion quartet formed in New Zealand. The group is listed under chillout, downtempo, ambient and jazz, and the name is also used by several other acts with different origins and styles.

Music and activity

One Flipside act is a Danish/Swedish duo associated with ultrachilled, cinematic music that combines Scandinavian melancholy with balearic chill-out. Their sound uses acoustic guitars, trumpet, cello, vocals, electronic beats and smooth backing textures. This version of the group releases the album Inside in 2003, followed by Deep in 2004 and Presence.

Another Flipside is a Korean hip hop trio made up of J-Gue, 지구인 and Boi B. That group releases Both Sides of the Story in 2009.

Flipside is also the alter ego of Alexander Odden, who uses the name in demoscene work and is better known as the second half of Pegboard Nerds.
