Flip Flop are a UK psytrance act made up of Chris Hanson and John Monkman. Hanson is also known as Touch Tone, Sketchy Pimps and DJ Crispy, while Monkman also records as Hemi-Sync and Pink Noize. Both producers write trance and have been active for over six years, developing a sound that sits between full-on and progressive psytrance.

Their music combines strong groove, layered psychedelic textures and melodic structures. It is described as drawing on a wide range of genres and as aiming to work both in smaller settings and on large sound systems.

Flip Flop release material under several labels, including Lunar Agent, Alchemy Records, Divine Inventions, Liquid Records, Ignition Sequence, Phar Psyde Records, Mind Octave, Mida Records, Origin 3, Nano Records, Get Your Wonk On and Sonic Dragon Records. Their credited tracks and remixes include Loud, Evangeline, In Exs, Twiglet, a remix of Eskimo vs Madcap’s Take a Look Out There, and a remix of Zen Mechanics’ New Propulsion Technology.

As DJs and live performers, Hanson and Monkman play regularly around the UK and also appear internationally in Brazil, Thailand, France, Sweden, Denmark and India. They are also working on an album for Alchemy Records.
