Flip & Fill

Flip & Fill are a Manchester, United Kingdom dance act made up of Graham Turner and Mark Hall. The pair are producers, remixers and DJs, and they also present a DJ show on Manchester’s Key 103 radio station. They have been active since 1996 and are signed to All Around The World.

Recording career

The act starts releasing tracks in 1999. Their best-known early single is “True Love Never Dies”, a cover version built from elements of “Airwave” by Rank 1 and “True Love Never Dies” by Donna Williams. Kelly Llorenna provides the vocals on that recording. The single reaches number 34 in the UK Singles Chart in March 2001, then climbs to number 7 on a later release in February 2002.

Flip & Fill also work with other vocalists, including Karen Parry, who appears on their 2002 number 3 hit “Shooting Star”. Jo James sings on “Field Of Dreams” and on their remix of Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody”.

Style and releases

The group works in dance and trance, including vocal trance, and tours the UK club scene. They also remix and re-edit well-known tracks, including N-Trance’s “Set You Free”, which appears in versions released in 2003 and reworked in 2006. Both versions reach the UK chart, with the first reaching number 7 and the later version reaching number 2.
