Fjokra

Fjokra is a Dublin-born multi-instrumentalist based in London. He starts the project in 2010 while living in Manchester and performs with his eponymous band, High Cross Society.

He draws on an eclectic mix of genres in his music. After forming the project, he builds a live reputation through regular gigging and develops a committed fan base.

Releases and recognition

Fjokra’s music attracts the attention of Kaiser Chiefs, who curate the compilation album Emerging Icons. The album is issued by Unsigned Band Review through Universal Music and includes the seven-and-a-half-minute track “Slyrex”, selected for its changing structure.

Writing and recording

Alongside performing, he continues to write and record new material.
