Firebeatz

Firebeatz is a Dutch electronic music duo from the Netherlands, active since 2008. The group consists of Jurre Van Doeselaar and Tim Smulders, and works in styles including big room house, Dutch house, EDM, electro house, electronic and house.

Career

The duo builds its reputation through club-oriented releases and remix work. Their early tracks include “Funky Shit”, “Where’s Your Head At” and “Miniman”, which help establish their name in the electronic scene. Their profile grows further with “Dear New York”, a collaboration with Schella that reaches number 2 on Beatport’s Main Top 100, and “Here We F*cking Go”, another Beatport Top 10 release.

Firebeatz also produces official remixes for a wide range of artists, including Pitbull, James Blunt, Ian Carey, Snoop Dogg, Freestylers, Flo Rida, Timbaland, Fatman Scoop, Alex Gaudino, Wynter Gordon, Bingo Players and Sean Paul. Remixes for Bingo Players and Sean Paul reach Beatport’s Main Top 15.

Collaborations and labels

In 2012, Firebeatz and Chocolate Puma release “Just One More Time Baby”, which receives support from BBC Radio 1 DJ Pete Tong. In 2013, the duo releases “Gangster” and “Ding Dong”, the latter a collaboration with Bobby Burns issued on Tiësto’s Musical Freedom label. They also release “Yeahhhh” on Calvin Harris’s Fly Eye Records and are asked to make an exclusive remix of Calvin Harris’s “Thinking About You”.
