Fireball Ministry is an American hard rock, stoner rock and stoner metal group from Los Angeles. It forms in 1999 and remains active.

History and line-up

The band begins as a project conceived in Cincinnati in the late 1990s by James A. Rota II and Emily Burton, before moving to New York City and then settling in Los Angeles. The core line-up includes Rota on guitar and vocals, Burton on guitar, John Oreshnick on drums, and Johny Chow on bass. The verified membership also identifies Jimmy Z. D'Amico, Johny Chow, John Oreshnick and James A. Rota II as members.

Fireball Ministry also plays with a wider live profile alongside major heavy bands including Danzig, Anthrax, Motörhead and Slayer. The group supports CKY on its 2005 Adio Footwear-sponsored tour and tours with Vains Of Jenna.

Recordings and wider recognition

The band gains a broader audience through the inclusion of King on Bam Margera's Viva La Bands compilation. Its track The Broken also appears in the WWE video game SmackDown vs. Raw 2006 for the Sony PlayStation 2. After Johny Chow replaces former Fu Manchu bassist Brad Davis, the band records Their Rock is not Our Rock at Dave Grohl's 606 West studio. Like earlier releases, it is produced by Nick Raskulinecz.
