Femme Fatale

Femme Fatale is a hard rock group from Albuquerque, United States, active from 1987 to 2019. It is fronted by Lorraine Lewis and is associated with the late 1980s rock scene. The group’s line-up includes Bill D’Angelo, Bobby Murray, Rick Rael, Mazzi Rawd, Nita Strauss, Nikki Stringfield, Athena Bass, Courtney Cox, Katt Scarlett, Janis Tanaka and Rachael Rine.

Career

The band releases a self-titled album in 1988. That record includes the Top 40 single “Falling In and Out of Love” and the Hot 100 hit “Waiting for the Big One”. “Falling In and Out of Love” also becomes a popular MTV video. Around 2000 and 2001, the band records material for a new album, but it is not released.

Later activity

Lewis later hopes to reissue the 1988 album with tracks from the unreleased material as bonus tracks. In 2025, she announces a new line-up featuring Matt Starr on drums, Sean McNabb on bass and Joel Hoekstra on guitar.
