FEAR OF MARKO

FEAR OF MARKO is the project of Manchester singer-songwriter MARKO, whose name is Marcus Anthony Connolly. He starts writing songs at around 15 and posts early demos on SoundCloud and YouTube, building a following in alternative and queer music circles. Before launching FEAR OF MARKO, he releases two mixtapes under the name Marcus Connolly, and develops an interest in collaboration and artistic direction.

The project draws on a wide range of influences, including Gorillaz, McFly, Sneaker Pimps, Grimes, Charli XCX and Playboi Carti. Its sound combines grunge and rock with glitchy hyperpop, and it sits within modern alternative music with a queer focus.
