Faye Webster

Faye Webster is an American singer-songwriter and photographer from Atlanta. Her music sits within indie folk, with overlaps with indie, folk and indie pop, and she is based in Atlanta, Georgia. She is born in 1997.

Music career

Webster first signs to Awful Records and releases her self-titled second album in 2017. She later signs to Secretly Canadian in 2018 and issues Atlanta Millionaires Club in 2019 as her second full-length album. She also covers Outkast and turns Father’s “Cheap Thrills” into an indie-folk interpretation. Her friendship with rapper and producer Ethereal, and with the wider Awful Records circle, helps connect her to the label’s roster.

Photography

Alongside music, Webster builds a reputation in Atlanta’s hip-hop scene for photography. She photographs artists including Lil Yachty, Migos’ Offset and D.R.A.M., and her portrait style is associated with the visual influence of Kehinde Wiley. She develops this interest after taking a photography class at Belmont University, where she studies for a semester before returning to Atlanta to focus on music.
