Fay Hield

Fay Hield is a folk singer and musician from the United Kingdom, born in 1978. She works in English folk and is associated with a number of collaborative projects and ensembles.

Career

In the late 1990s, Hield performs as part of a well-regarded duo with Damien Barber. In 2001, she helps form The Witches of Elswick, a female a cappella quartet. She later performs with her partner Jon Boden.

In 2009, she joins a concert line-up with Robert Harbron of the English Acoustic Collective and Sam Sweeney of Bellowhead. This leads to her recording and performing as Fay Hield & The Hurricane Party. Her solo debut, Looking Glass, is released in 2010.
