Fawn
There are several acts using the name Fawn. One is the project of Jason Novak, founder of Cracknation Records. This Fawn follows from Novak’s other work in DJ? Acucrack and Acumen Nation, and it is described as aiming for the atmosphere of early shoegaze while using heavier production and a darker edge. It includes members from the now defunct bands Atombombpocketknife and Starstruck.
Another Fawn is an alias used by British electronic musician Mark Bell, who releases the Klip EP under that name in 1995.
Other artists called Fawn include an American band that gains local recognition in Chicago in the mid-1970s, with bassist Ricky Young being the brother of James “Jy” from Styx; an American singer-songwriter and model from Los Angeles; a Belgian artist; a noisy shoegaze band from San Antonio, Texas; and an indie pop band from Burlington, Vermont.
