FAIRCHILD

FAIRCHILD is a Japanese technopop group active from 1988 to 1993. The group is made up of 川口浩和, 戸田誠司 and YOU, and is from Japan.

It works in pop rock and technopop, and is also associated with J-rock. The group has a mildly successful run and is notable for helping launch the solo career of You, who becomes a Japanese pop culture figure.

The name is shared by several other acts, including an Australian indie rock band, Fairchild Brothers, an AOR band from Minneapolis, and an American electronic-music producer, musician and DJ now known as Nox Vahn.
