Extremities
Extremities is a group with two members, Alan Freeman and Steve Freeman. The name is used by more than one act, including a progressive and groove metal band from Eindhoven in the Netherlands, founded in 2015, and a Washington, DC-area noise duo.
Metal group from Eindhoven
The Eindhoven band plays progressive metal and groove metal. Its music is described through comparisons with Textures, Gojira and Monuments, and is characterised by heavy riffing, ambient guitar melodies, clean hooks, fast harsh vocals and occasional tonal screaming. It is also known for an energetic live performance.
Noise duo from Washington, DC
Another act using the name is a noise duo from the Washington, DC area. That duo consists of Pat Gillis, who is associated with TL0741 and Northern Machine, and Scott Feeney, who is associated with Scrap Heap and Aerosolized Mucus. It plays noise and harsh noise, and its first show takes place at a festival in February 2009, before the pair has played together previously.
