Extreme Noise Terror is an extreme metal group from Ipswich, United Kingdom, formed in 1985. It works across crust punk, death metal, grindcore, metal and punk, and is one of the earliest and most influential crust bands.

The group starts out in crust punk and helps define the early grindcore sound through highly political lyrics, fast guitars, rapid tempos and very short songs. It is also noted for using two vocalists in hardcore at an early stage.

Extreme Noise Terror records a number of sessions for BBC Radio 1 DJ John Peel.
