Evyltyde
Evyltyde are a London metal group formed in August 2013 by Danny Merton on guitars and Hannah Delany on vocals, after they meet while auditioning for another band. Active since 2013, they build a sound around powerful melodic vocals and hard-edged guitar riffs, drawing on a wide range of metal styles including thrash and gothic metal. Their music also crosses into power metal, hard rock and classic metal, and they cite classic British metal such as Iron Maiden and Judas Priest as an influence on their early work.
Early releases
The band releases its first single, Fight To Be Free, soon after forming. By early 2014 it is touring, and in July 2014 it issues its second single, Killer. The video for that track gains airplay on UK and international radio shows and attracts nearly 12,000 views on YouTube. After a run of drummer changes in the first half of 2014, the band puts out Skin Deep in October as a free download.
Albums and lineup changes
Evyltyde releases its self-titled debut album in early 2015 and receives positive reviews, including an 8/10 from POWERPLAY magazine. In August 2016 two new members join the group, marking a new phase in its development. By September that year the band releases Bullet In The Head, a song that becomes a regular favourite in live performances.
Later work
After a number of short UK tours, the group returns to the studio in January 2017 to record Rising, which is released worldwide in March 2017. The video for Eye For An Eye becomes its most-played video, passing 22,000 views. The band later releases its third full-length album, Singularity, continuing its mix of broad influences, large riffs and prominent choruses within the UK and European metal scene.
