E.V.P

E.V.P is a Japanese psychedelic trance artist and female rapper from Japan, active since 1996. She works in psytrance, darkpsy and night psychedelic trance, and also has a second project called RealityGrid.

Music production and sound

After a few years, E.V.P qualifies as an RSA-approved sound engineer. She studies mixing and mastering in rock music, along with synthesis and sequencing, using an SSL mixing console and Macintosh with Logic. She applies these skills to produce a polished sound and focuses on keeping the music comfortable to listen to at very high levels. Her style is described as individual and positive, combining twisted electronic sounds with a groovy feel intended to energise the dancefloor.

Performances and releases

E.V.P plays a wide range of parties, including international festivals, club events and squat parties. She performs in more than 35 countries worldwide and has bookings extending into the middle of 2009. Her album Holographic Consciousness on WildCD008 receives very positive reviews and leads to further bookings. She promotes the release with international tour dates in Japan, Italy, Croatia and several UK dates.

Other work

Alongside music production, E.V.P works as a psychedelic artist, creating album art, flyers and most of the promotional material for Wildthings. She also has demand for tracks on different compilations and is expected to have more than 60 tracks released across both projects.
