Euphonique is a UK DJ, producer, songwriter and label owner working in drum and bass, dubwise, jungle and reggae. Active since 2008, she builds a career around energetic DJ sets, studio work and broadcasting, and she is based in Bristol.
Music and releases
Her productions appear on Hospital, Born On Road, Dread, Jungle Cakes, Ruffneck Ting and Deep In The Jungle, as well as on her own Subwoofah Records imprint. She works as both a producer and a songwriter, and her output is part of the wider drum and bass and jungle scene.
Broadcasting and performance
Since 2009, Euphonique broadcasts on FM and internet radio stations. Her music receives play on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra, and she performs at club nights and festivals in the UK and abroad. The places named in her touring history include Glastonbury, Boomtown, Love Saves The Day, Hospitality, E1 and Fabric.
Subwoofah and Manchester work
Under the Subwoofah name, she runs a record label and event brand. In Manchester, Subwoofah operates as one of the city’s more established drum and bass events, and between 2017 and 2019 it also functions as a studio community where artists stream and record, and where newcomers learn and develop. The project is linked with download-store number ones and the development of new talent.
Recognition and wider role
Euphonique receives nominations at the We Love Jungle Awards. She also works as a music mentor and lyric writer, with an emphasis on supporting younger artists and promoting equality and representation in the scene.
