Etherwood is a British drum and bass producer from Lincoln, United Kingdom, and is associated with ambient, chillstep, club, dance, drum and bass and electronic music. He releases music on Stillness Music and Hospital Records, and he is also signed to Med School. Etherwood lives in London.

He first develops an interest in music through classic rock and folk, listening to artists including The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd. He buys his first guitar at the age of 12, begins writing songs and performing in bands, and still plays guitar for Jakwob. His early influences also include Mogwai, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Explosions In The Sky, The Album Leaf and Telefon Tel Aviv.

Etherwood discovers drum and bass in the late 1990s and is influenced by Aphrodite, Photek, Logistics, Roni Size and DJ Hype. His style combines the energy of drum and bass with atmospheric elements such as reverb-heavy guitar and delayed piano patterns. He also has support from Radio 1, Capital FM, XFM, Triple J and Rinse FM, and he remixes artists including Lana Del Rey, Jakwob and Jess Mills.

His first solo release is “Give It Up”, which appears on Sick Music 3 on Hospital Records. This is followed by “Spoken”, which appears on Hospitality Drum & Bass 2013, and “Unfolding”, which opens New Blood 013 on Med School.
