Estiva is the music project of Steven Baan, a Dutch electronic music producer born in 1987 and originally from Reeuwijk. He works in trance, uplifting trance and progressive trance, and is associated with Enhanced Recordings.

Baan develops an early interest in melodic trance music and is influenced by summer-themed compilations such as In Search Of Sunrise by Tiësto. He begins making music at a young age and, in early 2006, releases his first EP, Stella, through Enhanced Recordings. The record is taken up by major DJs including Armin van Buuren, which helps establish his name in the scene.

In 2008, Tiësto picks up Estiva’s collaboration with Marninx, Casa Grande, and includes it on In Search Of Sunrise 7. Estiva later follows with the Strawberry Fields EP, which also draws support from Armin van Buuren, Tiësto and Ferry Corsten.
