Erin K is the performing name of Erin Kleh, an anti-folk artist based in the London scene. She writes autobiographical songs and develops a style of folk that combines direct personal writing with unusual subject matter.
Her songs address topics including sex dolls, hybrid animals, relationships and food. She performs both solo and with a band, and her work is described as ranging from quirky and honest to heartfelt.
Erin K appears at major London venues including Union Chapel and Bush Hall, and also plays at the Edinburgh Festival. She has performed at both the Olympics and the Paralympics. Her song “Coins” is selected as Huw Stephens’ BBC Introducing Tip of the Week, and she is the first unsigned act played on Nihal’s Review Show on BBC1. Her music also receives airplay on 6Music with Tom Robinson, BBC London, Absolute Radio and Kerrang. The Guardian names her Band of the Day at number 1,111. She releases her first single “Coins” independently and is recording her first EP.
