Eridium

Eridium is a metal band from Norfolk. The group wins the 2013 East Anglia Metal 2 The Masses competition and the Oakwood Battle of the Bands in Great Yarmouth. It has been gigging for 13 months at the point described and develops a following across Norfolk.

Style and live performance

The band does not want to be placed in a subgenre and uses that flexibility to draw on a wide range of sounds and styles. Its live shows are described as a key strength, with energetic performance, tight playing and heavy riffing.

Songwriting and influences

Eridium writes the song “Cell Hell” as a tribute to Randy Blythe and his wrongful imprisonment, responding to his trials and eventual innocent verdict. Its influences include Lamb of God, Machine Head, Sylosis, Threat Signal, Pantera, Throwdown, Cancer Bats and Dream Theater, which reflects the range of its sound.

The band is working on its debut EP, Sic Parvis Magna.
