Engine

Engine is a US progressive metal band from Hartford, Connecticut, active from 1999 to 2002. The group consists of vocalist Ray Alder, guitarist Bernie Versailles, bassist Joey Vera and drummer Pete Parada. Alder is also known as the vocalist of Fates Warning, while Versailles has been associated with Agent Steel, Vera with Armored Saint and Parada with Face To Face and the Offspring.

Recorded output

The band releases its self-titled debut on Metal Blade Records in 1999, followed by Superholic in 2002. Its sound sits between aggressive modern rock and metal, with dense riffs, haunting melodies, down-tuned guitars and distorted vocals, giving the music a raw and direct feel.
