Enforcer

Enforcer is a Swedish heavy metal band from Arvika, formed in 2004 and later based in Stockholm. The group is active and signed to Nuclear Blast.

Style and influences

The band plays in a speed metal style associated with older heavy metal groups such as Agent Steel, Exciter and Anvil. In response to a question about playing in an “old school” style, the band says heavy metal is timeless.

Early releases and line-up changes

After two demos in 2005, both created and performed entirely by Olof Wikstrand, the first full band line-up forms with Jakob Ljungberg on drums, Jonas Wikstrand on bass and Adam Zaars on guitar. With that line-up, the group re-records two previously issued songs for the Speed Kills... Again split on Heavy Artillery.

Joseph Tholl then joins on bass, Jonas Wikstrand moves to drums, and the debut album Into the Night appears on Heavy Artillery in 2008. The album brings attention from Earache, which signs the band and releases Diamonds in 2010. Another line-up change follows on that record, with Tobias Lindqvist on bass and Joseph moving to guitar.

Nuclear Blast albums

Before the third album, Adam Zaars leaves to concentrate on Tribulation, and Olof Wikstrand takes over guitar duties again on Death By Fire, released on Nuclear Blast in 2013. The fourth album, From Beyond, follows on Nuclear Blast in 2015. The band has released five full-length albums in total.
