Empty Lungs

Empty Lungs are a punk rock group from Belfast. They play a form of energetic, catchy music that draws on punk, folk, country and post-hardcore, and their live shows build a reputation for intensity.

Early activity and reception

The group plays its first show in May 2011 and begins performing around Ireland soon afterwards. Within a few months, it attracts attention from local media and receives airplay on BBC Radio 1.

Recordings

The band’s debut single, Identity Lost, is mixed by Rocky O’Reilly, known for work with Oppenheimer and And So I Watch You From Afar. The single is released in September 2011.

Later plans

After the debut single, Empty Lungs enters the studio to record an EP and plans extensive touring across Europe and the UK.
