Emmy
Emmy, real name Emma Bejanyan, is an Armenian singer from Yerevan. She is regarded as one of Armenia’s best-known and most influential pop singers, and is often described as a pop princess and an Armenian pop icon.
Career
Her career begins in 1993, after she records her first song, “Hayastan,” and releases its video. She goes on to win prizes at song contests in Armenia, Russia, Turkey, Europe and other countries. From 1994 to 2000, she sings and tours with Hayer, an all-female folk-pop quartet.
Eurovision
Emmy represents Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 and becomes the country’s first non-qualifier.
