Emergency Bitter

Emergency Bitter are a British punk band associated with comedy, Oi and streetpunk. The group forms around drinking, punk rock and going out for a good night, and describes its sound as closer to cider-fuelled rockabilly punk than to the more varied comparisons it receives, including an Ian Dury-style mix of old and new punk. The band plays a small number of gigs, which are described as going well, and it also books shows directly.

The group is presented as unassuming and self-deprecating, with a reputation for sounding shambolic in a charming way. It has not attracted major press attention, but it does receive a few informal descriptions from listeners and continues to perform live.
