Emerge
Emerge is a name used by more than one act. One is a Tasmanian, Australia-based post-mathcore band; another is a solo ambient drone project by Sascha Stadlmeier. The name is also associated with trance and techno.
Tasmanian post-mathcore band
The Tasmanian Emerge appears as a post-mathcore band and is listed as having released two demos, Untitled and Controller. It is also described as working on its first EP, A Pending Disaster. Tracks associated with this version of the project include Untitled, Contoller, Elendil Hobson-Naumann (The Edge Song) and Matt Garwood (Where's Our Vocal Demo?).
The band is named as starting from Anchorage, Alaska, where the members are said to have met while working as ice road truckers. The lineup mentioned in the text includes drummer Tim Bezemer, guitarist Andrew Boltong and guitarist Nathan Bishop, who is quoted talking about delivering loads before becoming a rock star.
Sascha Stadlmeier solo project
The second Emerge is a solo ambient drone project by Sascha Stadlmeier. This project is described as producing new tracks and as involving a wider creative group working on production, DJing, video and art. It is also framed as an effort to keep creative output high and to find new ways of expression.
This version of Emerge has released eight CD-Rs and a 7-inch single on Drone Records. The CD-Rs are issued on labels including Mystery Sea, Attenuation Circuit, Verato Project and Taalem.
