Elmor

Elmor is a Guildford-based band that begins as a two-piece acoustic act playing small venues in and around London before expanding into a five-piece. Their sound is described as a mix of new wave, indie and pop, and the group builds a following through live work and attention from local radio and press.

The band continues to play the London circuit, with appearances at Water Rats, Camden Barfly, Dublin Castle, The Fly, The Jamm, Betsey Trotwood, Purple Turtle in Camden, Halfmoon, Pressure Point, Watershed, Turnmills and The Boiler Room. They also play alongside acts including Switches, Mark Morriss, Rick Witter, Red Eye Banquet and The Futureheads at a Maximo Park aftershow party.

Elmor receives praise in year-end reviews as one of the bands most likely to break through and as a strong example of UK new wave and indie pop. The group is also noted as having added two later signings to the lineup, though individual members are not named.
