Elle Eyre

Elle Eyre is a singer and songwriter from London, United Kingdom, with a sound associated with alternative R&B and neo soul. She is also described as working in pop and soul.

Early life and training

Born Ella McMahon in 1994, she grows up in West London. Before focusing on singing, she trains as a competitive swimmer. She is discovered while studying Performing Arts & Technology at the BRIT School in London.

Career

In July 2012, she publishes songs through Warner/Chappell and soon after signs a recording deal with Virgin/EMI. She becomes widely known through guest appearances on Rudimental's UK number one single Waiting All Night and on Naughty Boy's Think About It.

Her debut EP, Deeper, is released in December 2013. Her debut album, Feline, is planned for release in August 2015.

Awards and recognition

She places second in BBC's Sound of 2014. She is nominated for a BRIT Award in the Critics' Choice category and wins Single of the Year for Waiting All Night.
