Eliza Carthy & Norma Waterson is a folk group from the United Kingdom, active from 1994 to 2022. It is centred on the English mother-and-daughter pairing of Eliza Carthy and Norma Waterson, with Saul Rose, Tim van Eyken and Martin Carthy also listed as members.

Releases and awards

The duo releases Gift in 2010. The album wins the Best Album category at the 2011 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, and its opening track, “Poor Wayfaring Stranger”, wins Best Traditional Track at the same awards. Gift also includes contributions from other members of the Waterson family, with vocals from Anne Waterson, Marry Waterson and Mike Waterson, and guitar and vocals from Martin Carthy.

Later work

In 2018, the group releases Anchor on Topic Records with the Gift Band.
