Electric Wurms is an American psychedelic rock group formed in 2013 as a side project involving members of The Flaming Lips and Linear Downfall. The group includes Steven Drozd and Wayne Coyne of The Flaming Lips, along with Charlee Cook, Chance Cook, Dom Marcoaldi and Will Hicks of Linear Downfall. It is active from 2013 to the present.

Style and sound

The project works in psychedelic rock and related electronic, krautrock and indie rock territory. Its material is described through space-themed imagery and hypnotic, experimental textures, with a strong psychedelic emphasis.

Release and notable tracks

Its debut release is Musik, Die Schwer Zu Twerk. The record includes the track Transform!!!, which is described as a drug-fuelled boogie rock piece, and Heart Of The Sunrise, which has a prog-folk feel. Another track, Living, features spoken or poetic text centred on reflection and repetition. The group’s name is presented as Electric Würms in the release material.
