El Goodo
El Goodo is a five-piece multi-instrumental group from Resolven in South Wales, United Kingdom. The band consists of Pixy, Jason, Lewie, Matty and Elliott. Their music sits within indie, psychedelic and pop, with a 1960s revival influence.
History
The group is first brought to wider attention by Super Furry Animals, who pick up their self-titled debut album in 2005 and release it on their Placid Casual label. El Goodo then tour as the opening act on that band’s tour, which helps establish them as a group with wider critical and popular appeal.
Recognition and live appearances
El Goodo receive attention in both the UK and the United States, including being named Artist of the Month by Spin magazine in 2005. They also tour nationally around the UK with Super Furry Animals and share stages with acts including The Zombies, Dead Meadow, Preston School of Industry, Beulah, Essex Green and the Keys.
