Eivør

Eivør Pálsdóttir is a Faroese singer-songwriter from Syðrugøta in the Faroe Islands, born in 1983. She is usually known simply as Eivør. Her work draws on a broad range of styles, including folk, jazz, electronica, medieval music, singer-songwriter material and worldbeat, and her voice is often described as distinctive. Her musical background is rooted in Faroese ballads.

She records in several languages. Many of her songs are in Faroese, some are in Icelandic, and several albums before Slør are mainly in English. On Slør, she returns to singing entirely in Faroese.

She is associated with Yggdrasil, Clickhaze, Frostrósir and Íslensku dívurnar.
