eevah
eevah are a Halifax trio made up of Fay Clayton, Richard McNamara and Nicole Smith. Active since 2018, the group work in pop and electropop, with an alt-indie edge and a sound that combines moody atmospherics with brighter indie-pop elements.
Style and release history
Their music is described as combining the atmosphere associated with acts such as The National, Wolf Alice and The xx with the shimmering indie-pop energy of Haim and London Grammar. The trio focus on songs that balance introspective lyricism with large-scale, anthemic hooks. Their second EP is I Didn't See It Coming, and their work is presented as more personal and direct than earlier material.
Activity and profile
DIY practices are a central part of the group’s identity. Since their first headline tour in April 2024, they have continued releasing music monthly through Patreon. They have received airplay support from BBC Radio 6 Music and BBC Radio 1, and have toured with Everything Everything, Duran Duran, Corella and We Are Scientists.
