Edu Imbernon is a Spanish electronic music artist and producer from Valencia. He works in house, tech house, tribal, techno and related electronic styles, and also forms part of the duo Edu Imbernon & Coyu.

Career

Imbernon becomes known for the track “El Baile Alemán”, made with Coyu and released on the German label Liebe*Detail. The track receives support from artists including Ricardo Villalobos, Marco Carola, Sébastien Léger and Agoria, and reaches number one in Beatport’s TOP 100. It is also the most sold track in 2009, appears in Resident Advisor’s Top 100 most charted tracks of 2009, and wins Beatport’s Best Underground Track of 2009. Imbernon is named Rising Boy Star for 2010 alongside artists including Nick Curly, Ben Klock, Julian Chaptal and Stimming.

His EP Mayenco becomes the second-largest vinyl seller on decks.de. He also reaches number one in Beatport’s TOP 100 with his Eklektisch label release “Tarantula”, which remains there for six weeks and becomes the most sold track in 2010.

Imbernon runs the label Eklektisch. As an artist, he releases music on Get Physical, Diynamic, Liebe*Detail, Trapez, Noir Music, Bla Bla, Barraca Music, Cr2 and Great Stuff.

Recognition and activity

He wins Best Producer and Best Track at the Spanish national dance music awards, and becomes the main resident of Barraca Club in Valencia. He also tours the USA, Brazil, South America and Asia, holds a residency for Space Ibiza at Kehakuma, and plays dates at Privilege Ibiza during the summer. He remixes “Crystalised” by The xx for XL Recordings.
