Earl Brutus

Earl Brutus is a Glasgow-based British group active from 1993 to 2004. It is formed by Gordon King, who has previously been part of World of Twist, and the group’s members include Rob Marche and Nick Sanderson. Its sound is associated with alternative dance, glam punk, glam rock, indie rock and post-punk revival.

Career

The group issues minor hits including “The SAS And The Glam That Goes With It” and “Come Taste My Mind”. It plays its final gig at Hammersmith Working Men’s Club in April 2004.

Later activity

After Earl Brutus, most of the members tour and record under the name The Pre New. Nick Sanderson, the lead singer, dies in 2008.
