Eagulls
Eagulls are a Leeds punk group active from 2010 to 2016. Their sound sits within garage rock, hardcore punk, indie rock, post-punk and punk rock, with tags also linking them to shoegaze and indie rock.
Formation and line-up
The group forms in Leeds and is initially built around Mark Goldsworthy and drummer Henry Ruddel. The line-up is completed by Liam Matthews on guitar, Tom Kelly on bass and George Mitchell on vocals, making Eagulls a five-piece.
Releases
Their debut single is “Council Flat Blues”, released on NotEven Records via Moshi Moshi. This is followed in 2012 by the EP on Seaxbeat Records and Deranged Records. In 2013, they issue “Nerve Endings” as their first single for Partisan Records, backed by a version of Killing Joke’s “Requiem”.
Album
The band’s self-titled album, Eagulls, is released in March 2014.
