Dylan Schneider

Dylan Schneider is an American country music singer and songwriter from Terre Haute, Indiana, in the United States. Born in 1999, he begins singing at the age of 14 after initially listening to pop music and hip hop as a child, then becoming drawn to the storytelling side of country music.

Early attention

Between 2014 and 2016, Schneider publishes a run of YouTube videos in which he performs versions of popular country songs. The first of these appears in May 2014 and helps bring him wider attention online.

Releases and recognition

His first extended play, Wannabe, is released in 2016. Around the same period, Billboard describes him as an “upcoming rising star of country music”. He places two EPs in the top 20 of the magazine’s Heatseekers Albums chart in less than a year, without label support.

Performances and songwriting

Schneider meets Brett Eldredge at a concert in Eldredge’s hometown of Paris, Illinois, and is later invited onstage by Eldredge to sing during a performance in Terre Haute. He goes on to write and perform songs in both Indiana and Nashville, Tennessee.
