Dusk

Dusk is a Hungarian black metal group from Szeged, active since 1995. The band is associated with the True Carpathian Black Metal circle and describes its music in that framework, with lyrics centred on misanthropy, hatred, the depths of the human soul and satanism. Tamás Sándor is listed as a member.

Early releases

The first release is the demo Fight Of The Soul in 1995. Other demos and recordings follow over the next years, including Recognizing Ourselves in 1998, Scream Of The Soul in 2001, The Shadowsoul in 2003, The Darksoul's Scream and Carpathian Darkness in 2005, and Beginning, a compilation of the first two demos, in 2006.

Albums and later material

Dusk releases Deathgate in 2006, followed by Pray For Death in 2007, In Eternal Death in 2009 and Book Of Satan in 2011. The band also releases the split To Find New Darkness / The Slumber in 2005, shared with Aphotic.

Context

An earlier EP, Dusk, and the full-length ...Majestic Thou In Ruin appear on the compilation Mourning...Resurrect on Lost Disciple Records. The full-length ...Majestic Thou In Ruin is described as a classic release within the genre. After the split of Dusk, some members form Aphotic.
