Durrty Goodz, formerly known as Doogz and also known as OG Rootz, is a grime MC from Stratford, East London, in the United Kingdom. His real name is Dwayne Mahorn.

Style and influences

He is known for a versatile approach that spans grime, hip-hop, bashment, R&B, dubstep and reggae. Grime remains the style most closely associated with him. His work is described as combining old-school values with newer flows, with witty lyrics and a fast, conscious delivery.

Career

He spends years building a reputation on the underground scene, performing at raves such as Eskimo Dance, Sidewinder and Smoove, as well as on pirate radio stations. That activity earns him recognition as a British MC with strong lyrical skills.

Among his better-known tracks is “Bak 2 Skool”, which uses the instrumental from Ludacris’ “Act A Fool” and delivers a warning against gangster posturing and carrying weapons.
