Dubkasm

Dubkasm are a Bristol dub and reggae group made up of childhood friends Digistep and DJ Stryda. They begin their dub project in the mid-1990s and later establish the Sufferah's Choice label in 2003 to release their studio productions. The group’s releases also appear on Rastrumentals.

Releases and collaborations

Their debut album, Transform I, appears in 2009 and gathers tracks previously released on 12-inch records. It also features vocals from Dub Judah, Levi Roots and Afrikan Simba. In 2010, they complete the Transform I trilogy with a dub version of the album and a remix CD.

Style and activity

Dubkasm work in dub, reggae and roots reggae, and continue to perform live regularly while releasing roots-oriented productions. Their music is associated with a positive message and a sound rooted in dub reggae.
