George Ovens records as Dub Phizix. He begins making music in Manchester and develops an approach rooted in drum and bass and halftime. His releases appear on labels including Exit Records, Soul:R, Critical Music, Samurai Music, Commercial Suicide and Dispatch Recordings.

Notable releases

In 2011, Dub Phizix, Skeptical and the UK rapper Strategy release “Marka”, a track that becomes closely associated with halftime and reaches a wide audience through its official video. In 2014, he releases “Buffalo Charge” with Strategy on SenkaSonic. In 2022, he makes his debut as a beats producer with “Carbon Footprint”, produced for Strategy and included on the soundtrack to NFS Unbound.
