Dub From Atlantis started life in the summer of 2000 at the Bristol nightspot Cosies Wine Bar, with residents Stevie and Guy (The Men From Atlantis) playing roots reggae dancehall and dub music.
As the nights got busier and more DJ's got involved, they decided to step up their promotions and moved to The Croft, where they continued to develop the club environment with the use of lighting and a larger sound system.
With an ever-increasing roster of guest DJ's DFA was able to provide a full cross-section of music, creating a unique platform for all styles of reggae; from dub and dancehall to roots, breaks and drum & bass.
The night spent most of '05/'06 at the Thekla, but when this closed for refurbishment, Dub From Atlantis moved to the Blue Mountain for a brief period in autumn '06. DFA is now every other thursday at Native.
