Dropkick

Dropkick is a Scottish alternative country and americana group from Scotland, United Kingdom. It is formed at school in a small town in Angus in 1995 by brothers Andrew and Alastair Taylor, and it is active from 2001 onwards. The group is described as a countrified pop act with a sound that also fits folk and power pop, and it is associated with hardcore in some listings.

Line-up

The current line-up includes Andrew Taylor, Alastair Taylor, Scott Tobin and Roy W. Taylor. Andrew Taylor handles vocals, drums, guitar, banjo and mandolin. Alastair Taylor provides vocals, guitar and pedal steel. Scott Tobin contributes vocals and bass, while Roy W. Taylor provides vocals and guitar.

Releases

Dropkick releases seven albums and one EP on its own label, Taylored Records, beginning with its self-titled debut album in 2001. Two albums, Patchwork and Abelay Hotel, are issued in 2008 and 2009 on the Swedish label Sound Asleep Records. The group also releases the Christmas EP 25th December on Sound Asleep Records in download and 7-inch red vinyl formats.
