Dream Koala

Dream Koala is the recording name of Yndi Ferreira, a French laptop artist, songwriter, singer, musician and vegan. Born and raised in Paris as the child of two Brazilian artists, he begins making music around the age of 14. The project is associated with dream pop, lo-fi, chillout and chillwave.

Career

Dream Koala performs as a solo artist from France. He appears at Boiler Room London and holds a residency at Paris Social Club. His work includes remixes for Banks, Angel Haze and The 1975. These remixes are released through labels including Universal, Def Jam/Island and Interscope.

His single Odyssey is released in September 2013 and is accompanied by a 3D music video directed by Les Gentils Garcons. The video premieres on Vogue U.S.

Other work and recognition

Dream Koala is selected by H&M as an H&M Loves Music artist for the company’s in-store and online worldwide campaign. He also scores part of the film Une Rencontre, directed by Lisa Azuelos and starring Sophie Marceau and François Cluzet.

He maintains a Tumblr site and is also based in Berlin, Germany.
