Dreadlock Tales

Dreadlock Tales is a dub project by Kimmo Tyni, active since 1999. The project also appears as DLT and works across dub, psydub, chillout, electronic and ambient styles.

Live work and collaborations

Dreadlock Tales performs live in different line-ups, with Valo Lankinen often joining the set on electric violin. Since 2004, the project performs in 10 different countries and opens stages in Finland for acts including Zion Train, Channel One Soundsystem, Ott, Shpongle and Hallucinogen.

Releases

The debut album, SynchroniCity, is an uptempo release on Cosmic Theatre Records. The project also appears on the compilations Cultivation and The Next Mission Part 2, through GanjaTree and Dubmission Records. Other releases include The Snowman EP and From the Earth EP, which appears on Mean Seed Records. A second full-length downtempo album, Gravity Equals Love, is also part of the project’s catalogue on GanjaTree Records.
