Drake Milligan is an American country singer and performer from Mansfield, Texas. He is associated with country and rock and roll, and is signed to Stoney Creek Records.

Early life and influences

Milligan grows up in Mansfield, Texas, and is inspired by the country music his father listens to, especially Merle Haggard. He also takes influence from an Elvis impersonator he sees perform at a restaurant near him, which leads him to perform locally as an Elvis impersonator himself.

Acting and television work

Milligan responds to a casting call from CMT for the role of Elvis Presley in the television series Sun Records. He lands the part and moves from Texas to Nashville, Tennessee during his senior year of high school.

Music career

After moving to Nashville, Milligan auditions for a recording contract with BBR Music Group. He is not signed at first, but the label brings him on six months later. In 2018, he competes on American Idol and then leaves the show, saying he is not ready for that platform and prefers to focus on his music in Nashville.

In July 2021, he releases his self-titled debut extended play, produced by Tony Brown. He also releases the Christmas single “Cowgirl for Christmas” later that year.

America's Got Talent

Milligan and his band appear on America's Got Talent in 2022, performing the original song “Sounds Like Something I'd Do.” They receive four yes votes from the judges. He finishes in third place in the competition.

Debut album

Milligan's debut album, Dallas/Fort Worth, is set for release through Stoney Creek Records.
