Double G

Double G is the stage name of Georgios Lazakis, a Greek MC and producer. He is born in Gorinchem in the Netherlands, and he performs with his band The Ouzo Family in a set described as his “Life Story”.

He is also one of The Devastators, a hip-hop group based in Gorinchem, and one of the MCs in Kyteman’s Hip Hop Orchestra. The Devastators receive the Rock Around The World Prize in 2007 and tour South Africa and Lesotho. Kyteman’s Hip Hop Orchestra receives the Dutch Pop Prize in 2009, the 3FM Award for Best Live Act in 2010, and the Edison Music Prize for Best Group in 2010. The orchestra’s debut album, The Hermit Sessions, goes platinum with sales of over 75,000 copies. Double G also features on “U-town University”.
