Dot Legacy

Dot Legacy is a rock group from Paris, France, formed in 2009 and active until 2019. The band starts as four high school friends rehearsing in a Paris basement, and develops into a touring act with releases on Setalight Records.

Releases

The group signs to Setalight Records for its first self-titled album, which appears in 2014. A second album, To the Others, follows in 2016 on the same label. That record is written while the band is on tour, with material developed in venues and on tour buses, and is intended to show a more direct and efficient approach than the more intricate and complex compositions the band is known for.

Touring and live work

Dot Legacy tours across Europe and South America and plays more than a hundred concerts. It also supports and shares bills with Blues Pills, Mars Red Sky and Truckfighters. After To the Others, the band tours Europe with Valley of The Sun and then with Truckfighters across more than 35 cities.

Style

The band describes its music as “Energy Rock”, although it does not settle on a fixed label for its sound. Its output is associated with stoner rock, heavy rock and psychedelic rock, and it is presented as a group that aims to leave listeners to define the music for themselves.
